Behind these objects, unpublished so far by IVV, lies an episode that took place over fifty years ago, the emblem of a tradition that is renewed every year, with the arrival of Autumn. After the harvest, the wine producers give a big lunch, to thank those who participated in the grape harvest. In 1967, a Chianti Classico producer realized that the climate in his area had been excellent and that this year’s wine would be memorable. To celebrate, he commissioned IVV to create some bunches of grape, apples and pears in blown glass, to make them the centerpieces with which to decorate the tables of the great lunch. Originally, they were made only colored. Since objects like these are very popular again nowadays, due to the current trend of embellishing the tables with iconic objects, IVV has decided to re-edit them, also adding the transparent version with gold dust given on the glass by the master while he blows them.
