The gold decoration is instinctively associated with classic and tradition … The Sparkling plates collection wants to break this stereotype, because even what is more classic can be reinterpreted and made more contemporary. The gold hand-given with brush or the gold leaf applied by hand is here replaced by a perlage of gold drops of different sizes, randomly given on the transparent surface of the blown glass. The result is a series of dishes with their own but never overwhelming brightness. These objects are designed to be mixed & matched with porcelain, totally white or, at the most, characterized by small colored decorations, because it is in this combination that they express their maximum: they enhance it, giving it light, without stealing the scene.
